14th December Opening Night – Christmas of Hope Festival, Nollaig na Dochais

Monday night kicks off with a great start from Socks in the Frying Pan at 7pm and a really fabulous closing session with Katie Theasby with lots of brilliant local acts in between including some members of the Hands in Harmony Deaf Community Choir.  Our MC for the night, is none other than Derrick Lynch! James Dillon

December 11th, 2020

James Dillon, 9 Fairfield Road, Glasnevin Road, Dublin 9 and late of Doolough, Clounlaheen, Co. Clare, the American Bar, Pearse Street, Nenagh and Buffalo, New York.
Pre-deceased by his parents Ellen & John, sisters Mary Ellen and Delia, brothers Micko, Tom, Pappy, Johnny, Martin and nephew Thomas.
Deeply regretted by his brother Eddie, 14 nieces and 12 nephews especially Fergal, grand nieces, grand nephews, U.S.A, U.K. and Ireland, extended family members, many friends especially Christy and neighbours especially Carmel.
May Jimmy Rest in Peace.
Due to Government restrictions a private Funeral Mass will take place in Coore Church on Wednesday 16th December at 11 o’clock with burial in Coore Church Grounds. James’ Mass can be viewed online through the following link, http://funeralslive.ie/james-dillon/

Nollaig an Dóchais, Christmas of Hope, from St Mary’s Church, Mullagh, Co Clare, starting on Monday, 14th December running until Friday, 18th December.
This beautiful Christmas festival of hope, will bring an array of fantastic musical acts from our local community and also within the county of Clare -  Fiddlecase, Socks in the Frying Pan, Patrick Roche, Sean O’Malley & Alan Clancy, Josephine Marsh, Katie Theasby, PJ Murrihy and family, Eugene Donnellan dancers, Patrick O’Dwyer, The Turf Shed Members, Karen McInerney, The Killeen Family, Karen Galvin, Patrick Wickham, Ronan Burke, John & Johnny Daly, Ellie Talty, Zara McCarthy & Cormac Byrne, The Griffins, The O’Dwyers & Orieanna Galvin, Mary & Mary Kate Clancy, Aine Mae O Mahony, Emma Darcy, Sarah & Amy Moloney & Nathan & James Downes, Sean Neylon, Davy Fitzgerald and much more!
This is all in aid of two great charities, – St Vincent de Paul, and The Lighthouse Peer Support Centre Kilrush, supporting people in recovery of mental health issues. All donations can be made through https://www.ifundraise.ie/christmasofhope.

We will have a raffle on our final night, 18th December. Lines are available for €5 at our Parish Office Mullagh, Pascal O’Dwyers Filling Station, XL O’Dwyers Quilty, SuperValu, and Londis Miltown Malbay.

Jim Sexton

After a short illness.
Deeply regretted by his family in Australia, his brothers, Kevin and Noel his sister, Kathleen Ryan and their families in Ireland.
May He Rest In Eternal Peace In Heaven.
A Memorial Mass will be held for Jim at a later date in St. Mary’s Church, Mullagh. Mass cards can be sent to McMahon Funeral Directors, Mullagh. If you wish, you may leave a message in the condolence section below for his family.

Loughville, Ennis and late of Knocknahila, Mullagh, Ennis, Co. Clare.
Husband of Maureen.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen (nee Canavan), step-sons John, Patrick, Tony, Seamus, Brendan & families, brothers John Joe & Jimmy, sisters Bridie, Mary, Teresa & extended families, mother-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Seighfried, sisters-in-law Helen & Bridget, predeceased by his parents, wife Mary Clohessy & brother Martin (R.I.P.).
May He Rest In Eternal Peace
Private reposal at his home in Loughville, Ennis. Funeral Mass in St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral, Ennis, this Tuesday, the 1st of December, at 11am, for family only please, followed by burial afterwards in Knocknahila Cemetery, Mullagh.
House private, due to Government guidelines. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to Cancer Homecare team, Milford. Mass cards can be sent to McMahon Undertakers, Mullagh. Funeral Mass can be viewed on the Ennis Parish webcam.
