100th Anniversary of Laurentic Ship
A Commemorative ceremony will take place on Wednesday 25th January in Seafield, Backstrand weather permitting or Quilty Church at 2pm. Martin Moloney, Quilty was one of the Royal Navy to lose his life on the sunken Laurentic on 25th January 1917 who will be remembered. A short ceremony and wreath launch will take place to mark the event and loss of life in the First World war. The ceremony is part of a joint event between St. Joseph’s Spanish Point and Crane College Buncranna Co Donegal.
