As part of CLARE CULTURE NIGHT 2022, The Turf Shed will be hosting “An evening of traditional music, song and dance” at Cooney’s Tavern from 9 until 11pm on Friday night September 23rd. The Turf Shed members are Joe Searson – accordion, Caroline Tubridy O’Dea- concertina and fiddle, Caroline Lodge- cello and fiddle, Sorcha Curtin- concertina and flute, Tara Comber – fiddle, Trish O’Dea – fiddle and Jim Corry – piano.

This is a free event brought to you by The Arts Council in partnership with Clare County Council. Culture Night celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives today and every day.

Joining the Turf Shed on the night will be a variety of local guest musicians, singers and dancers. A very enjoyable night of entertainment is assured.

will resume activities for the Autumn Term with and and annointing in the Mullagh Community Field meeting room on Thursday 15^th September at 2pm.  Mass will be followed by tea and a chat and a game of bingo.  Meeting will be on Thursdays from 1.30pm to 4pm.  Activities include mass once a month, go for life exercises, outings and going for meals. We welcome back all our old members and hope many new members will join us this year.
